our story

Born from a desire to rekindle our Michigan story, we purchased 85 acres of land on S French Road in 2018 and planted our first test vines the following year. In 2021 and 2022, we completed the major planting of an additional 21 acres with many familiar vinifera, such as Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Noir. We also added some unique northern Italian varietals such as Lagrein and Teroldego, along with Albarino (Spain), Blaufränkisch, and Grüner Veltliner (Austria) that had promise in the temperamental Leelanau Peninsula viticultural microclimate.

We use the principles of regenerative agriculture to revitalize our soil and minimize our environmental impact. Following the soil food web will provide better vine nutrition and yield memorable, complex, and incredibly drinkable wines.
