Vineyard
Terroir refers to the unique combination of soil, climate, topography, and other environmental factors that influence the character and flavor profile of grapes grown in a particular vineyard. At Gilchrist Farm Winery, our vineyard showcases a diverse terroir that contributes to the distinctive qualities of our wines. We are currently in the process of reshaping our vineyard to provide an inside look at how terroir shapes our grape-growing practices and ultimately, our wines. Someday, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the vineyard, learn about the importance of terroir, and witness firsthand the care that goes into nurturing our vines and learn about our soil and sustainable farming practices.
