This event may be held indoors or outdoors, weather depending. More drinks and food available for purchase at the bar. Please wear protective layers in case you get paint on your clothes, and oil paint can leave stains.
Explore the beauty of still life painting in this beginner-friendly oil painting class. Guided by local artist Jennifer Franzoni, students will learn how to use a viewfinder to create strong, visually engaging compositions.
Jennifer Franzoni will demonstrate Professional artist techniques during the event
The class will begin with quick sketching ideas (five minutes) inspired by plants and floral arrangements and practicing color mixing. From there, students will transfer their compositions onto a prepared canvas board while learning how to observe negative space and build their paintings step by step. Instruction will cover brushwork, paint handling, and palette mixing, allowing each participant to develop their own unique piece at a comfortable pace. You are welcome to stay a bit longer while I clean up to keep painting.
Students may complete one to two paintings during the session, depending on their workflow. All canvas materials are provided—just bring your creativity and enjoy a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
